Product Highlights:
- The Stone: Two stones, one bracelet. The faceted lavender beads are purple chalcedony, soft and milky. The deeper, transparent purple beads are amethyst. Both are purple, but amethyst is sharp and clear, while purple chalcedony is muted and calm. Between them sit dark hematite disc spacers that separate the two purples and give the bracelet its rhythm. Finished with a sterling silver clasp.
- History: Amethyst carries one of the longest histories of any gemstone. The Greeks named it amethystos, meaning "not drunk," and inlaid their wine goblets with it, believing it would prevent intoxication. Until the 18th century, amethyst was ranked alongside diamond, sapphire, ruby, and emerald as one of the five cardinal gemstones.
